Signalling fault disrupts rail passengers

Rail passengers in the West Midlands were being warned of ongoing disruption due to a signalling fault.
Transport for Wales (TfW) services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International and West Midlands Railway trains between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street are affected, National Rail said.
The issues were caused by a problem with the signalling system between Shifnal and Codsall, causing disruption to trains running between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton.
At around 13:15 BST, West Midlands Railway said the incident was over and the line cleared, but that rail replacement buses were still available until congestion eased.
National Rail said TfW and West Midlands Railway customers could use existing tickets on selected alternative routes.
