Feedback sought on anti-discrimination law
The States of Guernsey is asking for feedback on the Prevention of Discrimination Ordinance, which came into effect in 2022.
It gives protection from discrimination on the grounds of disability, carer status, sexual orientation, race, and religion or belief.
This protection applies in employment, when accessing goods, services and accommodation and for memberships of clubs and associations.
President of Employment and Social Security (ESS) Deputy Peter Roffey has written to more than 70 stakeholders asking them for their views but anyone may offer feedback.
Roffey said the ESS committee would be particularly interested to hear suggestions for improvements.
He said it would also welcome feedback on dealings about conciliation and complaints with the Employment and Equal Opportunities Service.
The deadline for comments is 12:00 GMT on 20 January.
Protection in the field of education was due to come into force "no earlier than 1 September 2025," Roffey added.
