Flood-hit swimming pool closes for refurbishment
A swimming pool is closed for refurbishment after it suffered major damage 16 months ago.
The pool at the Link Centre in Swindon was damaged by flooding which affected the centre in September 2023.
Work carried out this month will be the final stage of the pool's renovation, and will include ceiling repairs, retiling, redecoration and new lighting.
The operator, Better, said the rest of the Link Centre would remain open and it aimed to reopen the pool on Saturday 1 February.
Better said customers on monthly memberships will be able to access its sites in Swindon, Bath and north east Somerset and west Oxfordshire until the pool renovation had been completed.
Customers who cannot use these facilities are urged to contact the company.
Lessons at the pool's swim school have also been paused, rather than moved to another leisure centre.
Parents will receive automatic refunds for sessions taking place during the refurbishment.
