Hundreds of tonnes of scrap go up in flames

Firefighters tackled a large blaze at a scrapyard that sent smoke billowing across a major road.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze at an industrial site next to the A1079 near Pocklington, East Yorkshire, at around 16:45 GMT on Tuesday.
Multiple fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended the scrapyard, where 550 tonnes of scrap metal and vehicles were alight.
Crews were on the scene until 07:40 GMT on Wednesday and an investigation was ongoing, the fire service said.
The A1079 was closed at the height of the blaze.
