Man found dead after city centre house fire
BBCA man has died following a house fire in Bradford city centre.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Dirkhill Street, Great Horton, at about 02:50 BST on Friday, with the man's body discovered inside the property.
An investigation into the fire was in its early stages, West Yorkshire Police said, with the man's death currently treated as "unexplained".
A cordon remains in place while enquiries are carried out at the scene, the force added.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said three crews attended the fire.
"Crews extinguished the fire using hose reels and breathing apparatus," a fire service spokesperson said.
"Sadly one person was found deceased inside the property."
