A woman and a teenage boy have been arrested after a police officer was kicked in the face in Dudley.

Police were called to Sedgley village after a group of people gathered outside a pub on the Bull Ring roundabout on Wednesday, shortly before 20:00 BST.

One of the officers was attacked and taken to hospital with injuries, West Midlands Police said.

The woman, 37, and the boy, aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of assault. Any witnesses are asked to contact the force.
