Leisure centre closes suddenly for maintenance
A leisure centre has closed suddently because of "urgent essential maintenance".
Pingles Leisure Centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, shut on Thursday with the borough council saying it hoped to reopen as soon as possible.
The authority added it would endeavour to inform people using the centre and other members of the public when it had more details and apologised for any inconvenience.
A note on the leisure centre website said: "Unfortunately Pingles Leisure Centre is closed until further notice for essential maintenance. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause."
The Pingles Stadium in the area said on Facebook that it was "in no way associated to the leisure centre and remains open for all activities".
It added these include The Stadium Cafe & Sports Bar, Nuneaton Harriers Athletic Club sessions and Nuneaton Griff Football Club matches.
