A woman in her late teens has been seriously injured in a suspected hit-and-run crash.

Norfolk Police said the pedestrian was struck by a dark Range Rover on Guanock Terrace in King's Lynn at about 00:30 GMT on Sunday.

A man in his 20s was later arrested on London Road on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was questioned and released on bail while investigations continued.

Police said the victim remained in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge in a stable condition.

A cordon was in place at the scene until Sunday afternoon.

Officers appealed for witnesses or those with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.

The force added it was particularly keen to hear from a woman who may have spoken to the victim before the crash.
