Man jailed for stabbing neighbour in the back

A man has been jailed after he launched a "savage" attack on a neighbour who had repeatedly asked for a debt to be repaid.
Nottinghamshire Police said Carlton Neuvill armed himself with a knife and waited for the man to return home from walking his dog.
Neuvill, 55, stabbed him four times in the stairwell of the flats in Norton Street, Radford, Nottingham, on 22 January.
On Friday, he was jailed for seven-and-a-half years at Nottingham Crown Court after pleading guilty to wounding with intent.
'Painful and unpleasant'
Police said neighbours had helped the man before paramedics and police arrived.
He was treated in hospital for injuries that have left permanent scars.
Neuvill was arrested, and officers found the knife and two other blades in his flat.
Det Sgt Hannah Frame said: "Our investigation revealed Neuvill owed the victim money, and, after being asked repeatedly to pay back the debt, he took the decision to launch this savage attack.
"He armed himself with a knife and paced around in the block of flats waiting for the man to come home from walking his dog.
"I have no doubt it will have been an extremely frightening experience and left the man with some painful and unpleasant injuries."
