Five-day repair works planned for canal bridge

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and expect delays as work to repair a canal bridge begins.
Resurfacing works at the Netheridge swing bridge, which goes over the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, will begin later and is expected to last until 1 June.
Gloucestershire County Council said the bridge will be locked and non operational for river traffic during the work.
To minimise disruption, traffic management and lane closures will be in place for the duration, it added.
This bridge carries Gloucester's South West Bypass, completed in May 2007 following the construction of Two Mile Cut which bypasses the former Two Mile Bend.
