Drink-driving arrest following 'serious' crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing injury by dangerous driving following a collision between a car and a motorbike, police have said.
North Yorkshire Police said the driver of a silver Audi A5 was arrested following the collision on West Lane, between Stillington and Easingwold, at about 21:20 GMT on Friday.
The rider of a white KTM motorcycle, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital, police added.
In a statement, the force said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the crash or anyone who witnessed the incident."
It added: "The Audi was travelling from the direction of Stillington to Easingwold and the motorbike was going in the opposite direction."
The road was closed overnight.
