Company sets out plan to create 'flagship store'

A national clothing business based in Bradford has submitted plans to extend its headquarters to make it a "flagship store".
South Asian department store Janan wants to build a large extension at its Shearbridge Road site.
The company, founded in Bradford in 2011, now has 10 shops across the UK.
An application submitted to the city council said: "Janan prides itself on its Bradford roots and this development ensures that they can remain in the city and operate as required."

The application said the store was visited by customers from across the country, and that without the extension it may need to relocate outside the city, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
The application said the business was a "valuable asset to the city" and the plans were "a valuable representation of the dynamism of Bradford's Asian business influence in this sector"..
The car park for the business would also be expanded as part of the plans, with the number of spaces increased from 35 to 50.
A decision on the application is expected in May.
