Man in court over death of teenager 26 years ago

A man accused of kidnap and murder over the death of a teenager 26 years ago has appeared at the Old Bailey.
Victoria Hall, 17, from Trimley St Mary in Suffolk, vanished after a night out with a friend at Bandbox nightclub in Felixstowe in September 1999.
Steve Wright, 66, formerly of London Road, Ipswich, already pleaded not guilty to kidnap and murder at a previous court hearing.
On Wednesday, he was remanded in custody pending a trial fixed for 2 February 2026 at the Old Bailey.
Mr Wright, who appeared via video link for the short hearing, is yet to enter a plea to a charge of the attempted kidnap of a second person in Felixstowe.
Victoria's body was found five days after she went missing, in a ditch in Creeting St Peter.
