Inside the Art Deco bingo hall before renovation
The developer behind a plan to renovate a disused former Art Deco bingo hall, cinema and theatre said was his biggest project yet.
The Ritz building in Rushden, Northamptonshire, first opened in 1936 and was most recently Flutters Bingo and Social Club.
It was bought by Oliver Mcloughlin from Investment Street for £400,000 after it was put up for sale for £625,000 in late 2022.
He said he was "going out on limb" by taking on the building.
He added that it would be "really positive" for the town.
"I'm very excited; I've been in contact with people who already want to part of the building," he said.
He added he would also like to return bingo and theatre to the venue.
Art Deco is short for Arts Decoratifs - an architectural style that emerged in the 1920s.
