Two open-top bus parades will take place in Farnham on Monday to celebrate the success of local sports teams.

Both Farnham Town Football Club and Farnham Rugby Club have won their respective leagues, and celebratory events have been scheduled by Farnham Town Council to mark the successes.

Road closures in Farnham will begin at 14:30 BST on Castle Street, where the parades will take place.

Free buses will also be in operation to help fans of both teams get to Castle Street, picking up people from Drovers Lane and Farnham Rugby Club.

The rugby team's open-top bus will leave their home stadium at 15:00 and arrive at Castle Street 15 minutes later.

Farnham Town Football Club are playing a league match at 13:00 at home to Hartley Witney.

When the game ends, the team will board their open-top bus and are due to arrive to Castle Street at about 16:20.

Supporters will have a chance to meet the players and see the trophies.

The ceremony is due to finish at 18:00 and the road will re-open at 19:30, the council added.
