Biker, 67, dies in crash in Highland Perthshire

A 67-year-old biker has died in a crash in Highland Perthshire.

The incident involving a black Ducati M1200, happened on the A827, about six miles east of Killin, near Lawers.

The man, who has not been named, died at the scene after his motorbike left the road and hit wall at about 16:25 on Friday.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for about seven hours for accident investigations

PC David Bowick said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man involved.

"Our investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and I would urge anyone with information, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area, to get in touch."

Meanwhile, another biker is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in rural Aberdeenshire involving two cars.

The incident happened on the B9001 Rothienorman to Inverurie road on Friday.

A green Kawasaki motorcycle and a VW Polo and Suzuki Vitara crashed near Skellarts Croft at around 15:50.

The 62-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where his condition was described as critical. The occupants of the cars were not injured.
